PIONEERS PARK

Pioneers Park is one of the places I want to recommend for joggers if you are living in Lincoln. It is located at West Van Dorn Street, Lincoln, NE 68516.
I really love the place because it is very quiet plus it has so much to see -- towering trees, ducks in the pond, bufallo and other animals, young lovers and family having perfect time together -- it is indeed fun to be there.
As to the history of the park, It was John F. Harris, a New York investment banker who grew up in Lincoln, handed this 500 acres to the city as Christmas present in 1928 and added 100 acres more at the park 's dedication in 1930. From the giving heart of Mr. Harris, it is well known as gift that keeps on giving.
Overview covering 500 acres includes bridle, bike, and walking trails, ponds, picnic areas, ball diamonds, and an outdoor amphitheater...i noticed the indian statue too...lot more...
